Members of Chambers appear and advise in three major advisory opinions on climate change: Request for an Advisory Opinion on Obligations of States in respect of Climate Change before the International Court of Justice (ICJ), Request for an Advisory Opinion submitted by Commission of Small Island States on Climate Change and International Law before the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS), and Request by the Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU) for an Advisory Opinion on the Obligations of States with respect to the Climate Change Crisis before the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights (AfCHPR).

Members also provide advisory work to government and private companies on climate change across various policy areas, including trade, domestic litigation, and human rights. They have developed particular expertise in advising States disproportionately affected by climate change, notably Small Island Developing States, and several countries in Africa.
